Ours is the glory!

A group of poor people in a bus travelling from some village to some city. They don't know each other, they are strangers to each other. A guy organizes them to be part of a protest group in return for a good amount of money. One by one they all accept. At the end of the day, they are all happy. They got good money for less work. They have now become friends with each other. The main guy again calls them together after some days for another such protest. They are happy and agree to it. Most of them feel a sense of camaraderie for the first time in their life, a feeling that they are a part of something, of something bigger than themselves, something that has a meaning behind it which they don't understand as yet and do not care for that either. Gradually, the money they get keeps increasing, the main guy is their leader now. They do what he says, they get better money each time. Those among them who express their wish of getting education are found dead days later. No one bothers for they are getting more money and increasingly better status in life. They have found their meaning of life, their purpose of existence. And then one day, the main guy calls them all for their biggest adventure till now, one that would get their names added in the history books, so they have been told. Guns and bombs have been given to this elite group of soldiers. They don't think, they just want to fight. This will bring them glory, this will ensure that they fulfill their destiny. This is is what the leader has told them. They can't question him, for he knows more than them, he is smart, and more importantly they believe that he is right. And he is educated enough to think for them and resourceful enough to provide for them. Yes, they will do what he says. And so they proceed on their adventure, ready to march against the police if required with guns and explosives in their hands, protesting slogans being shouted by their leader and some other leaders who have brought with them similar pools of young talented soldiers. And they fight. As always, they don't understand the cause for which they are fighting. They just know that glory will be theirs.

They know, and more importantly, they believe that they are on the right side. The day passes, and the adventure ends. They are victorious, they are told. They feel happy and they go back to the comfort of their homes to be together with their families. None of them realizes the truth, not even when they watch the news anchor bursting in tears during the evening news broadcast as she speaks of how, earlier during the day, hundreds of students were murdered as a school was attacked by some terrorists.
