One: Day by day, we continue to live, busying ourselves as a humanity in many mindless things. We do multiple such things that have no real rationale of doing them. Seeing other people doing something makes us believe it is the thing to do. Whiling away time in these activities ending up with nothing productive. The point is, we as individuals are highly affected by societal actions. Think of a society with a single person. Let’s call it the absolute individualistic society. Barring the practical considerations of feasibility of such a society, the actions that an individual in such a society would do, I would believe, would be the true non-nonsense actions to be done. At the cost of sounding an extreme anti-social person, I would hypothesize that society eats the individual within us and destroys the benefits that come bundled with that individuality. Of course, there are benefits of a society which won’t be present in an absolute individualistic society. But to accept the present form of society as a given, and not even wish to ponder over an objective comparison between the two is something that just happened. No single human being has made a conscious decision till now that a social living is indeed better than the proposed absolute individualistic society, and yet, we continue to live with this decision which just happened to us. Our lives are guided by and our minds are restricted by this continuous living in the present form of society and by the effects it has on us.
Two: Currently, we adopt the societal way of living as our own. If someone comes tomorrow and changes the whole system, we would need to adopt to a new way, thereby changing everything. The probability of such a happening is also a matter of discussion. But in whatever probability, should we not rather invest our minds in generating a separate system of our own, that is more individualistic and is independent of potential changes brought about in the society. This definitely would break the present system of society, but such a thing is required to live life in a consistent manner, if such a thing is ever desired by an individual.
